FAQ

How do I know if my project makes sense for my house, budget, and time investment?

When we meet with you to discuss your project, Osteen Construction will work through all of these issues with you to help you decide if the project is one that makes sense for you and your needs. On average, nearly fifteen percent of the country’s population moves to a new home every year. It is important to us that we do everything we can to help you maintain the value of your home and see a positive return on your investment -- whether it’s the home you will keep forever, or the one you’ll someday sell. We also look at the functionality of your home and work with you to make sure that your project will improve your quality of life while you’re there.

How much will my project cost?

In order to accurately estimate your project, we will make time to see it in person and talk with you about it. Each project is unique and comes with its own set of opportunities and challenges. At Osteen Construction, our focus is on giving you the best value we can for the money you spend. Our goal is to not only provide you with excellent service and the results you want, but also to leave you feeling compelled to tell others about your positive experience with us. We want you to be proud of your project and thrilled to tell people that you used Osteen Construction.

Do you give free estimates?

In general, no. We are always happy to meet with you at no cost to discuss a project and the feasibility of it. Once we see plans for the project and the site, we will work with you to prepare a detailed scope of work and accompanying estimate. Assuming you hire us for the job, the cost of our time in preparing the estimate becomes a line item in the project cost. If not, we charge by the hour for the time required to prepare the estimate.

We work hard to ensure that every estimate takes all facets of the project into account, and incorporates good-faith estimates from our partners and subcontractors, to find the best price for the best possible product we can deliver -- and all of that takes a good deal of research, time, and effort.

When can you finish my project?

Our workload varies. We typically book jobs anywhere from one to three months out. However, the depth of the project will ultimately determine how quickly we can get to it. Once we’ve met and discussed your project in more detail, we can better approximate both a start and completion date.

Our goal in scheduling projects is to make sure that there is always time for us to pay attention to the details of each and every project, and maintain good communication with our customers throughout. We always focus on production, but we don’t rush jobs or cut corners to get done...ever. Once we start on yours, we will want to take the time required to get it right.
